Mary-Anne D. Ponti, RN, MSN, MBA, CNAA-BC joined Northern Michigan Regional Health System as Chief Nurse Executive in 2007 with overall responsibility for the quality of nursing care, leading efforts to drive operational excellence, technological advancement, and outcomes-based nursing practice. In December 2009, along with her current role as Chief Nurse Executive, Ponti also assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer formerly held by Reezie DeVet, RN, EdD, President & CEO.
“Mary-Anne is a seasoned senior executive with a diversified background in healthcare. She brings a strong emphasis on operations with progressive management and leadership skills,” said DeVet.
Ponti received her degree in nursing from the University of Vermont; a master’s degree in nursing with a major in adult medical-surgical nursing from Russell Sage College in Troy, NY; and a master’s in business administration from Thomas College in Waterville, Maine. She served as vice president of nursing and division leader at the Sisters of Charity Health System of St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.
In 2005, Ponti was honored with the Organization of Maine Nurse Executive Leadership Award. Her 30 years of nursing experience is rooted in patient services, spanning critical care, care coordination, and discharge planning. She recently served on the Michigan Task Force on Nursing Education, was appointed to the Board of Directors for the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE), and is a member of the Michigan Organization of Nurse Executives.
Jennifer Woods, RN, BSN, CNML
Jennifer Woods joined Northern Michigan Regional
Hospital in July 1999. During her tenure, she has held increasingly more advanced leadership roles, including Nurse
Manager for Ambulatory Care, Endoscopy, PACU, and Radiology Nursing.
In 2010, Jennifer was named Senior Director of Acute Care
Services, and was promoted to Chief Nursing Officer in February 2012.
As Chief Nursing Officer, Jennifer oversees all nursing operations for
the hospital, guiding all areas of patient care to ensure clinical
excellence.
Jennifer received her
Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Ohio State University
and graduated with her Masters of Science in Nursing from Walden
University in 2011.
Throughout her career she has been a staff nurse, Team
Leader, Clinical Supervisor and Nurse Manager. Her clinical background
includes Neurosurgical ICU, Radiology, UroSurgery Clinic and Endoscopy.
Jennifer is a member of the
Senior Executive Team with accountability for Acute Patient Care
Services. This includes Staffing/SWAT and Transport, Behavioral
Services, Woman & Children’s, Emergency Department, Renal, Intensive
Care Unit, Cardiovascular Unit, Medical/Surgical Unit, Orthopaedics,
Neurology & Urology, and Oncology.
