Steven Cross
Director |
Steven Cross joined the Northern Michigan Regional Hospital Imaging Services Department as Diagnostic Imaging Director in 2007. Prior to joining Northern Michigan Regional Hospital, Steve served as the Diagnostic Imaging Director at David Grant Medical Center, Travis Air Force Base, California. His experience includes having served as an x-ray Program Director, Ultrasound Course Supervisor and Developer, CT and Ultrasound Supervisor, Staff Technologist, Sonographer, Radiologic Technologist, and Ultrasound Technologist, among others. Prior to receiving his Master of Science in Information Resource Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Steve received an Associate of Applied Science in Instructor Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Occupation Education and Diagnostic Imaging from Wayland Baptist University, an Associate of Applied Science in Diagnostic Imaging from the Community College of the Air Force, and a degree from the Air Force School of Health Care Sciences Radiology Technology.

Tammy Firman
Supervisor |
Tammy Firman is a registered
radiologic technologist and a supervisor in the Imaging Department. She has an advanced American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification in quality
management and bone densitometry, and holds a International Society
for Clinical Densitometry designation of Certified Bone Densitometry
Technologist. Some of her responsibilities include
quality control of images and equipment, supervising diagnostic imaging
technologists and students operating radiographic equipment, resolving unit
operational problems, conducting performance evaluations, and
planning/coordinating/assigning work for employees.

Tiffany Zavesky
Radiology Tech II |
Tiffany Zavesky works in general diagnostics and performs general radiological
procedures as well as fluro exams. Tiffany works with Dr. Wang and Dr. Sullivan
to perform facet and epidural injections, as well as radiofrequency ablations.

Kari Cosens
Radiology Tech II |
Kari Cousins is a Radiology Tech II who works with the emergency department,
as well as with bone density, outpatient procedures, inpatient portables, and occasional c-arm
cases. Radiology
Techs are responsible for providing the best images possible for the radiologist
to be able to diagnose patients.

Deborah Schmidt
Imaging Team Leader |
Deborah Schmidt holds the position of Magnetic Resonance Imaging team leader and
technologist. Deborah is responsible for
keeping patients safe and comfortable, both physically and
mentally, to get ideal pictures for the radiologist to
interpret.

Kerri Richter
Nuclear Medical Tech |
Kerri Richter works in the Nuclear Medicine department as a Nuclear Medicine
Technologist and also works on the mobile PET truck.

Marie Friske
Ultrasonographer |
Marie Friske has been a sonographer in the Ultrasound Department at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital since 1999. She is registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Teresa Utt
Ultrasonographer |
Teresa Utt has been a mammographer/radiographer for 26 years and is registered in mammography, radiography, obstetrics/gynecology sonography, and abdomen sonography.

Kristy Guymer
Ultrasonographer |
Kristy Guymer joined the Ultrasound Department June 2009 as a sonographer. She is registered through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in obstetrics/gynocology and abdomen sonograhpy.
