We offer surgical oncological care in multiple areas, including:
- Breast cancer (minimally invasive diagnostic biopsy, lumpectomy, mastectomy, sentinel node biopsy, axillary dissection.) The great majority of patients are treated without need for mastectomy. If mastectomy is required there are options available for immediate reconstruction.
- Thyroid cancer.
- Distal esophagus cancer, Barrett’s esophagitis, and esophagectomy without thoracotomy.
- Stomach cancer.
- Pancreas, bile duct, and liver cancer.
- Cancer of the colon, rectum, anus, and small bowel
- Skin cancers, such as melanoma, basal cell, and squamous cell carcinoma.
- Sentinel lymph node biopsy techniques for breast cancer and melanoma (allowing for removal of only one or two lymph nodes to stage such malignancies).
- Mediport placement and venous access for chemotherapy administration.
